Chiatura
Chiatura is located in western part of Georgia in Imeretian region. To get here you need to take 220km (140mi) car ride or catch a train from Tbilisi.
Chiatura is ultra rich with minerals. Here you can find large manganese mines along with marble, stone and gravel mining facilities. All this establish Chiatura as city of miners.
Settlement itself lays down in a canyon, and all mining facilities are hanging on clifftops.
All transportation happens with wide spread net of cable-ways. Transportation is primary sight of Chiatura, it was built in 1950.
Magnesium processing plant works all day and all night. People travel to their work with cable-ways. From this height you can see all canyon with city lying on the bottom.
