Kvareli
Kvareli is a part of Kakheti region, located in the east of Georgia, and also center of Kvareli municipality.
There are old winery traditions of making and bottling famous Georgian wines. Here you can find world-famous legendary wine “Kindzmarauli”.
Besides Kvareli is a birthplace of the great Georgian writer Ilia Chavchavadze. Here you can visit house-museum of this remarkable person. Here is very well displayed life of Georgian writer, personal things and cozy interior put you in a very special atmosphere. Outside the house there is a forest of rare ancient trees. It will be very interesting to visit huge Marani (wine cellar).
In Kvareli there is also another house-museum. House of the founder of Georgian theater – Kote Marjanishvili.
